<image:caption>Workers’ Compensation was created to fill the financial and medical void when you’re undergoing treatment and unable to work. Yet, when the injured worker doesn’t have a knowledgeable workers’ compensation attorney representing them, they frequently encounter a system that routinely denies legitimate claims, refuses to approve needed medical treatment, delays or stops income benefit payments, and offers low financial settlements. The system designed to support them more often lets them down, creating even more heartache and hardship.</image:caption>

<image:caption>It’s possible to manage your claim on your own, but why would you want to risk losing benefits because you don’t know how the system works? If you’re injured at work, would you know what to do and who to contact so that you’re taken care of? If you’re hurt in a non-work accident, do you know what your next steps should be? If you’ve become disabled and can no longer work, do you know how to navigate the Social Security Administration?</image:caption>

<image:caption>Michael Goldberg, Esq. Attorney at Law - Licensed in Missouri and Illinois Mike has been practicing in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, Civil Litigation, and Labor Law since 1989. As an advocate for injured workers and others, he’s developed a reputation as a creative and tenacious lawyer, always looking for the best solution for his clients. His hard work pays off; several clients have received verdicts and settlements in excess of $1M. For clients who are partially or permanently disabled, Mike’s understanding of the Workers’ Compensation system and how it works in conjunction with Social Security Disability allows him to weave together settlements that help his clients now and in the future. He educates his clients about the legal process so they can understand and knowledgeably participate in their cases. He also lectures to union leaders and labor groups to keep them up-to-date on changes in Workers’ Compensation and civil law that will affect them and their members. He also writes educational articles which are published in labor newspapers and union newsletters. Mike has BS in economics from the University of Florida in Gainesville and obtained his law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in Lawrence, Kansas. And when he’s not busy with his law practice, he can be found playing out with his band, Malpractice.</image:caption>
